About Us!

In operation since 1947, Mo's Diner has changed hands 3 times until current ownership. Yes - there was a Mo! Current owner Kindra Pettycrew had worked at the Diner for years before moving towards ownership (although Kindra still works on the floor -she very well may be your server!). Kindra has this to say about the Diner, "It's a pleasure to work towards preserving Mo's rich history, and spending time with our wonderful regulars are the tourists who come in to enjoy our food".

In the early years of the Diner, Manitou Springs locals will share stories of late, rowdy nights, with friends spilling around the bar, the jukebox blaring in the background. On remembering the Diner when he was young one local states, "sometimes we would show up at midnight and Mo would give us coffee and eggs."

Today, Mo's Diner lends itself to a (sometimes) quieter customer base, a family restaurant that boasts a charming number of regulars who you will often see in their groups chatting about cars, work, the weather, and the old days. Though the crowd may have changed their hours from nighttime to daytime, the homey feeling of the Diner has not departed.

Mo's is driven by the love of people who enjoy spending the warmest and coldest days with us. We pride ourselves on good food and good service.

In 1970, Vern proposed to Kathy in the Diner, in the spot commemorated by a heart on the floor. The couple is still together.
